The Minneapolis Vikings defeated the Tucson Toros, 9-4. Center Fielder Luis Chicas deserved a large share of the credit. Chicas went 2 for 4 with a triple and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Vikings. The win for the Vikings lifted their record to 36-31.

With Minneapolis trailing 2-0 in the top of the second, Chicas hit a fastball from Feng Shuai for a bases-clearing triple. It was his 1st triple of the season and put the Vikings ahead, 3-2.

"It's not about individual awards," Chicas told a Minneapolis Chronicle reporter after the game. "It's about winning championships. That's what we play for."
