Rangers Stick Juggernauts with 7-5 Loss
Due in large part to left fielder Bobby Rojas, the Buffalo Rangers sunk the Toronto Juggernauts, 7-5. Rojas was 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks. Buffalo reliever Phil Payne picked up the win, raising his record to 2-0. Edwin Bonomi was tagged with the loss. Josh Trejo picked up his 9th save of the season.

Buffalo took advantage of an error in the bottom of the seventh inning. The game was tied, 5-5, when Merlin Garbie hit a 2-run single that was misplayed. It put the Rangers in front, 7-5.

"This is a very good team," said Rojas. "We have the chance to do something special."

The first-place Rangers are 39-28.
