Salmon Stars in 7-5 Juggernauts Win
Toronto took on Maine in front of a lively crowd.

Toronto designated hitter Matt Salmon helped his team beat the Maine Lobster, 7-5. Salmon, who won the Rookie of the Year Award in 2079, went 2 for 4 for the Juggernauts. Toronto pitcher Daniel Taylor got the win. He's now 6-4. Irakly Alvarez was tagged with the loss. Julio Soto notched his 13th save of the season.

Salmon had a game-changing home run in the top of the sixth. On a 0-1 changeup from Irakly Alvarez, he banged a 2-run home run to left-center, giving the Juggernauts a 5-3 lead. It was the 21st home run of the year for Salmon.

In postgame remarks, Juggernauts manager Marc Arnold lauded Salmon. "He's a good, young player. The future's bright for Matt."

The second-place Juggernauts lifted their record to 40-29.
