Aces Dump Chicago, 7-0, to Win 4th in a Row
The Las Vegas Aces topped the Chicago Phantoms, 7-0, in Western Conference action at Foster Field. The standout performance belonged to Las Vegas pitcher and Maracaibo, Venezuela, native Salomé Sieuve. The winner was Sieuve. He threw 7.2 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Jake Orthman. With the win, Las Vegas upped its record to 36-31.

Allen Braun had a big 2-run home run for the Aces in the top of the fifth inning. With Las Vegas leading 2-0 and a runner on 3rd, he sized up a fastball from Jake Orthman, who finished 5th in the WC in wins with 15 last year, and punished it. The result was his 7th home run of the season, which put the Aces on top, 4-0.

"I thought we were prepared," Chicago manager Sam J said after the game. "I thought we'd be more competitive out there."
