Kansas City Dealt 6-1 Defeat
|
Denver Glaciers starter Luis Muratalla pitched a good game to help his team take down the Kansas City Athletics, 6-1. By defeating Kansas City, the 4th-place Glaciers improved to 29-40.
The Glaciers got a big at-bat from designated hitter Alex Guilzar. For the game, Guilzar was 2 for 5 with 2 doubles, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 18th double of the season gave Denver a 2-1 lead.
"In baseball, you have your ups and downs," said Kansas City manager Joe Monagle. "You just try to stay level-headed the whole time."
