Cyclones Continue Hot Streak with Extra-Inning Win
|
The Miami Cyclones beat the Santiago Avispas, 7-5 -- though it took them 11 innings. Miami catcher Qui-li Lew had a pretty good game. He was 2-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. Miami now sits at 32-35, while Santiago falls to 32-36.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 11th. With one out, Lew hit a circle change from Jeremy Allen for a 2-run home run. The Cyclones, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"Sometimes winning takes more than 27 outs," said Cyclones manager Chris Stephan.
