Washington Rallies Past Las Vegas, 6-4
|
No one was more impactful than Bobby Badeaux in the 6-4 Washington win over Las Vegas. Badeaux, who is tied for 9th in the EC in extra base hits with 31, was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs. Vinny Valdez picked up the save, his 2nd. At 34-36, Washington is in third place in the Eastern Conference Muldoom O'Mulmohery Division.
Washington used the clutch hitting of Sung-hyo Kym to snag the win. The first baseman drilled a grand slam home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Senators ahead, 6-4. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.
"I like to keep things lively in the clubhouse," said Badeaux. "Believe me, it's much easier after a win."
