Glaciers Go 10 Innings to Beat Portland, 4-2
|
Denver Glaciers starter James L'Hommedieu pitched his team past the Portland Dragons in 10 innings, 4-2. Rich Noble nailed down his 2nd save. Denver is second in the Western Conference Eric Wise Division with a record of 38-31.
Denver used the clutch hitting of Sando Torroais to snag the win. The third baseman drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Glaciers ahead, 4-2. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.
"A lot to like, just frustrated that we came up short," said Portland manager Greg Carpenter.
