Glaciers Deal Arrows 6-2 Defeat
|
Denver Glaciers starter Kyle Cordle turned in an exceptional performance against the Seattle Arrows at Power Ballpark, resulting in a Denver win, 6-2. The winning pitcher was Cordle, now 2-0. He tossed 6.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 8. Denver is now 30-40, Seattle 27-43.
Jose Carrasco had a big 2-run home run for the Glaciers in the top of the second inning. With Denver leading 3-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a cutter from Kevin Voda, who is tied for 10th in the WC in saves with 7, and swatted a home run to left. It was his 6th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Glaciers ahead, 5-0.
"Kyle can overpower you," said Denver manager Todd Bleess.
