Rangers second baseman Willy Amavizca left his mark on his team's 5-4 win over the Maine Lobster. Amavizca, who led the EC in doubles with 55 in 2077, went 4 for 5 with a home run and 2 doubles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for Buffalo in the contest. Buffalo pitcher Jose Sostre got the win, upping his record to 2-1. Jesse Collins got the loss. The Rangers raised their record to 26-42.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With one out, Amavizca hit a fastball from Jesse Collins for a run-scoring single. The Rangers, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"I've been criticized for being a slacker, but the one thing I do care about is winning," Amavizca told the Buffalo Times.
