Greens Claim 8-2 Triumph
Boston right fielder Leonilde Tigre was instrumental in helping the Greens triumph, 8-2, over the Miami Cyclones. Tigre went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs. Boston reliever Edgar Murillo picked up the win, raising his record to 4-1. Billy Lorsung was tagged with the loss. Mark Mehringer recorded the save for Boston, his 1st of the season.

The Cyclones had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Greens going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 28-year old third baseman Lupe Corona came to the plate. Corona hit a 2-run double on a 0-2 splitter from Miami hurler Billy Lorsung. It was Corona's 7th double of the year.

"It all depends on which version of our team shows up," said Tigre. "When we put it all together, I think we're a great team."

Boston leads the Eastern Conference Zach Gavula Division by 2 games.
