The Portland Dragons saddled the Denver Glaciers with a loss at Portland Park. The final score was 6-3. Alex Guilzar was 2 for 3, including 1 single and 1 home run. The Portland first baseman scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The victory gives Portland a record of 37-35.

Sapporo, Japan-born Shigenobu Shimamoto came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the eighth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd and the Dragons trailing 3-2, he hit a 2-run single to left-center to put Portland on top.
