Despite a great performance by Seattle first baseman Jason Kinney, the Denver Glaciers defeated the Arrows by the score of 5-4 at Power Ballpark. Kinney went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Jose Arruebarrena, the winning pitcher, is now 2-2. He went 5.1 innings, allowing 4 runs on 8 hits, while fanning 8 and walking 1. The save went to Kevin Welsch, his 1st this season.

Denver used a clutch at-bat from Ray Garcia to capture the win. The center fielder hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the first inning to put the Glaciers ahead, 5-0. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

Denver manager Todd Bleess praised his team's "no BS approach."
