Phantoms Get Thrilling 6-5 Win
|
The Chicago Phantoms had to overcome a big game from Baltimore designated hitter Da-xia Peng to leave AT&T Park with a victory. And they did, winning, 6-5, in 10 innings. Peng was 3-5 with 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Chicago, now 35-37, holds down 4th place in the Western Conference Michael Fridy Division.
Chicago needed the clutch hitting of Hisatoshi Morita to notch the win. The right fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Phantoms on top, 6-4. For the game, Morita had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"Our team showed some resilience," said Morita.
