Arrows Take Tight Tangle
In a low-scoring contest between the Seattle Arrows and the San Francisco Friars, Chua chay Niu was the X factor. The Seattle right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. Seattle reliever Jimmy Hsia was the winner. His record is now 3-0. Bernie Iglesias took the loss. Seattle is now 37-35, San Francisco 31-42.

Seattle got a knockout punch from Yasuhiro Tsumoto. The pinch hitter hammered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"We just didn't score enough runs to win," said San Francisco manager Erich Weatherholt.
