Portland 4-1 Losers to Glaciers
|
Starting pitcher Luis Muratalla was a major factor in the 4-1 Denver Glaciers triumph over the Portland Dragons. In 6.2 innings, Muratalla surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 1. He allowed 1 run. The save went to Olaf Bax, his 1st this season.
Denver used the hitting of Alex Guilzar to pick up the win. The designated hitter clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Glaciers on top, 3-0. For the game, Guilzar had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"Luis had himself a pretty good evening," said Denver manager Todd Bleess.
With the win, the Glaciers improved to 32-42.
