Spectres Dismantle Rangers, 13-2

The Philadelphia Spectres buried the Buffalo Rangers, 13-2, under a barrage of hits. Steve Bedoya led the onslaught, going 2-for-2 for Philadelphia. Akashi Kurosawa picked up the win with 5.1 innings of work. He allowed 2 runs on 6 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 6. On the season, he is now 4-6. The Spectres got a big hit from right fielder Ron Gideon. Facing Buffalo pitcher Rin Sakai in the bottom of the seventh, Gideon pounded a bases-clearing double to right. His 17th double of the season put the Spectres ahead, 13-2.
"That game had disaster written all over it," said Buffalo skipper Alex Beckman. "I could feel it."
