The Santiago Avispas beat the Buffalo Rangers, 4-3, at Estadio Guillermón Moncada. Santiago third baseman Gabe Castro had the hot bat. He went 3 for 3 with 3 singles and a walk, while adding 3 RBI. Jordan Torres, credited with the win in relief, is now 3-2. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. Today's win puts Santiago at 37-37, while Buffalo falls to 29-44.

The Rangers had been locked in a 3-3 tie with the Avispas going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 23-year old left fielder Mike Davidson came to the plate. Davidson hit a run-scoring double on a first pitch curveball from Buffalo hurler Mike Blain. It was Davidson's 2nd double of the year.
