Las Vegas starter Carl Rodda pitched well against the San Antonio Angels at Western Coliseum. The right-hander led his team to a win, 4-3. Rodda yielded 1 run over 5.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 1, and struck out 4. His record improves to 7-4. David Calzacorta earned the save for Las Vegas.
Lanny Tabares, who is tied for 8th in the WC in bases on balls with 45, aided the Las Vegas cause with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the second baseman went 1-4 with a hit by pitch.
"Winning is the only thing that really matters," Tabares told the Las Vegas Bulletin. "If you can win without even breaking a sweat, more power to you."
Their 37-37 record puts the Aces second in the Western Conference Nala Forcelledo Division.
