The Denver Glaciers and San Diego Destroyers obliged fans hoping for an exciting game.

The Denver Glaciers downed the San Diego Destroyers, 7-6, at Mountain Dew Park. The Glaciers were led by Brian Wooten. Wooten belted 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3. With the win, the Glaciers improved to 40-35.

The game was at a stalemate until pinch hitter Ian Sabre came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing San Diego pitcher Santos Gomez, he hit a first pitch fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Denver on top, 7-6.

"We're all smiles after that win," Wooten told the Denver Times.
