Cyclones Secure 8-4 Win
|
At Sony Field at Philadelphia, the Philadelphia Spectres and Miami Cyclones were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
In the 8-4 Miami win over Philadelphia, the impact of Chris Hodges was substantial. Hodges went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. With the win, Miami goes to 30-44, while the Spectres fall to 34-42.
Miami used a timely hit from Alonzo Armijo to get the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Cyclones ahead, 5-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.
"We came in and got the job done. That's what it's all about in this business," said Hodges.
