The Havana Metropolitanos topped the Buffalo Rangers, 3-1, in Eastern Conference action at Estadio Latinoamericano. The standout performance belonged to Havana pitcher and Vallejo, California, native Bobby Alkire. The win makes Havana 36-39.
With two out in the bottom of the fifth, Alex Zendejas put Havana in front, 2-0, with a run-scoring single. The Metropolitanos went on to win the ballgame.
Said losing manager Alex Beckman: "We've got to find a way to push a run across."
