The Denver Glaciers overcame a pretty good performance by San Diego first baseman Al Lindberg, beating the Destroyers, 4-3, in 10 innings. Lindberg was 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks. The win went to Shane Shackelford in relief. His record improves to 1-3. Chris Whiffen took the loss. Ruben Gonzalez recorded the save, making him 1 for 2.
Chris Eighmy came through with a big-time hit for Denver. The first baseman smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to give his team the lead, 4-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"These kind of wins can be so good for a club's psyche," Denver manager Todd Bleess said.
The Denver winning streak has reached 3 games.
