Baltimore Drops Another One, 3-2
|
Adam Simms pitched well, but his team, the Baltimore Kings, still dropped a 3-2 decision to the Washington Senators at AT&T Park. Jeff Kriz earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 1.1 innings. He upped his record to 3-1. The win makes Washington 30-47.
Washington used a clutch at-bat from Ruven Luevano to capture the win. The designated hitter hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Senators ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
Luevano said his team "played with focus and determination."
