The 2085 season is getting uglier for Seattle.

The Minneapolis Vikings scored a convincing win at Minneapolis Grounds, defeating the Seattle Arrows, 11-1. One of the hitting stars was Eric Newland, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2078 draft, who went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 5. The first-place Vikings go to 52-26.

With Minneapolis leading 1-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Newland came up to bat against Seattle pitcher Jimmy Cain. Newland hit a slider to right for a grand slam home run. His 3rd home run of the season put the Vikings on top, 5-0.

"Everyone's kind of edgy right now," said losing manager Dr. Jay Siber, "but nothing a couple of wins wouldn't cure."
