Al Joly, who finished 5th in the WC in wins with 15 last year, had a strong outing for the Buffalo Rangers against the Havana Metropolitanos at Estadio Latinoamericano. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 4-3 win. With the win, Buffalo goes to 47-30, while the Metropolitanos fall to 36-41.

Buffalo needed the clutch hitting of Bobby Rojas to seal the deal. The first baseman swatted a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Rangers on top, 4-3. For the game, Rojas had 1 home run and 2 singles in 4 at-bats.

"I was hoping to make good contact," said Rojas. "I wasn't trying to knock the snot out of it."
