Big Day for Choi as Arrows Down Ravens, 4-1
|
The Seattle Arrows handed the Yellowknife Ravens a loss at Power Ballpark. The final score was 4-1. Major production was provided by Han-lee Choi for Seattle. In addition to his 2 singles and 1 home run, he scored 2 runs and drove in 1. He also added 2 walks. Chua chay Niu earned the win for Seattle. He lasted 6.1 innings, allowing 1 run on 3 hits, while striking out 5. With the win, he raised his record to 7-1. The save went to Jimmy Hsia, number 14 for him.
Yoshitsugu Ishida had a big solo home run for the Arrows in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Seattle leading 2-1 and the bases empty, he sized up a fastball from B.J. Terriquez, who is tied for 4th in the WC in wins with 7, and punished it. The result was his 6th home run of the season, which put the Arrows on top, 3-1.
"It's always great to put the barrel on the ball and contribute," said Choi.
Yellowknife has now lost 4 consecutive games.
