Titans Over Kings, 7-4
|
New York and Baltimore got after it at AT&T Park.
In the 7-4 New York win over Baltimore, the impact of Victor Moroxio was substantial. Moroxio, who finished 3rd in the WC in batting average with .307 in 2069, went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. Dylan Chatfield, who went 7.1 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 4 runs on 7 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 4. His record now stands at 2-0.
Carlos Guadamuz, the 24-year old shortstop , had a direct impact on the outcome. Guadamuz contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the seventh inning to put New York up, 5-3.
"Winning is contagious," said Guadamuz. "We're looking forward to the next game."
With the victory, the Titans upped their record to 45-33.
