Juggernauts Sting Avispas, 6-4

The Toronto Juggernauts topped the Santiago Avispas, 6-4, in Eastern Conference action at Molson Park. The game was highlighted by the performance of Toronto pitcher Carl Rodda. Ignacio Noriega earned the save for Toronto, his 17th of the year. The Juggernauts improved their record to 37-42 with the win over Santiago.
The Avispas had been locked in a 3-3 tie with the Juggernauts going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 24-year old third baseman Isandro Ramirez came to the plate. Ramirez hit a 2-run double on a 1-2 fastball from Santiago hurler Jose Nereida. It was Ramirez's 2nd double of the year.
"Good pitching stops good hitting," said Ramirez. "And vice-versa."
