Arrows Beat Kodiaks, 7-3, at Power Ballpark
|
The Seattle Arrows defeated the Alaska Kodiaks, 7-3, in part because of center fielder Shane Hirsh. Hirsh went 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 for the Arrows. Seattle pitcher Hyun-koo Ka got the win, upping his record to 1-0. Juneau Beauchamp got the loss. The win has Seattle at 29-51.
Hirsh had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 2-2 fastball from Juneau Beauchamp, he banged a grand slam home run to left, giving the Arrows a 7-3 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Hirsh.
"Good, gritty kind of win," said Arrows manager Dr. Jay Siber.
