Harmon reaches base 3 times to Ignite Harfangs Offense
|
Mike Harmon helped his team muscle past the Brooklyn Browns, 8-1. In the game, the Montreal first baseman was 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. Les Ralph got the win, improving to 2-1. He held the Browns to 1 run on 3 hits over 7.1 innings, while striking out 9 and walking 3. Montreal is now 45-34, Brooklyn 42-38.
With Montreal leading 4-0 in the top of the eighth, Harmon came up to bat against Brooklyn pitcher Jorge Baeza. Harmon hit a sinker to right for a grand slam home run. His 8th home run of the season put the Harfangs on top, 8-0.
"This is a very good team," said Harmon. "We have the chance to do something special."
