Wolves Saddle Aces with 2-1 Loss
|
Vancouver Wolves starter Raul Garibaldi was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Las Vegas Aces, 2-1. Garibaldi, now 5-8, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 6, walking 3, and allowing 1 run. Manny Velez closed it out for his 3rd save.
Richard Lahoz, who finished 4th in the EC in doubles with 45 in 2077, had a direct impact on the outcome. Lahoz contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the second inning to put Vancouver up, 2-0.
Afterward, Wolves manager Matt Libid was ebullient. "That was a fun game to coach," he told a group of reporters, adding, "I hope it was just as fun to watch."
The Wolves are now 34-47.
