Thanks in large part to left fielder Leonilde Tigre, the San Francisco Friars beat the Alaska Kodiaks, 11-6. Tigre went 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 3 and driving in 3. Kelvin Vaquera picked up the win with 6.1 innings of work. He allowed 5 runs on 6 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 6. On the season, he is now 8-6. The second-place Friars now sit at 40-42.

Alirio Mazariego, who led the WC in triples with 12 last year, aided the San Francisco cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the third. For the game, the second baseman went 1-4.
