Friars Earn 7-6 Win Versus Phantoms
Chicago right fielder Hisatoshi Morita had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Morita was 3 for 4 with a home run, a triple, and a double, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2, even as San Francisco beat the Phantoms, 7-6. Their 44-38 record puts the Friars second in the Western Conference Michael Fridy Division.

With the bases empty and no one out in the bottom of the eighth inning, right fielder Edgar Albuja delivered big for the Friars. San Francisco was trailing 6-5 when he belted a solo home run.

"Winning is the only objective," said Albuja after the game.
