Toros Suffer 2-1 Setback

The Tucson Toros went down to defeat to Tadeu Carneira and his New York teammates. The final score was 2-1, in favor of the Titans. Ricardo Alas closed it out for his 16th save. New York is 57-25 and Tucson, with the loss, 46-36.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Calvin Ilk? The 24-year old catcher Ilk stroked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put New York up, 2-1. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.
"We didn't get too many good swings against Tadeu," said Tucson manager Rick Barnes.
