Fisko Loera, who finished 2nd in the EC in innings pitched with 217.2 in 2081, had a strong outing for the Toronto Juggernauts against the Maine Lobster at Molson Park. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 5-3 win. In 7.1 innings, Loera surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 4. He allowed 3 runs. The loss makes Maine 42-39.
The Juggernauts got a big at-bat from third baseman Isandro Ramirez. For the game, Ramirez was 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Toronto a 5-3 lead.
"I thought he pitched his game," said Toronto manager Marc Arnold. "Just a nice, Fisko-like performance."
