The Las Vegas Aces picked up a win at Western Coliseum, topping the Vancouver Wolves, 4-3. On the mound for Las Vegas was right-hander Arturo Covarrubias. He played a principal role in the triumph. Today's win puts Las Vegas at 40-43, while Vancouver falls to 35-48.

Las Vegas got a clutch hit from Scott Flynn. The first baseman launched a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a kill shot.

Flynn told reporters after the game: "Close wins always feel extra good."
