The Denver Glaciers and San Diego Destroyers put on quite a show.

The Denver Glaciers overcame a big game from San Diego designated hitter Jose Pedroza to pick up a win at Seaward Stadium. The final score was 6-4, Denver, in 11 innings. Pedroza was 4-5 with a double and 3 singles. The winner in relief was Dave Divine. He is now 1-0. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. Jared Gutierrez earned the save for Denver.

Denver needed the clutch hitting of Ko Kuroda to seal the deal. The first baseman swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the 11th inning to put the Glaciers on top, 6-4. For the game, Kuroda had 1 home run and 1 single in 6 at-bats.

Kuroda called the win "an overall solid one."
