GAME ID: 1257 - SUNDAY, JUNE 30TH , 2086 - GAME LOG
  1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 R H E
Cincinnati Twins (32-53) 1 0 2 0 0 0 0 0 0 3 9 0
Brooklyn Browns (43-41) 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 3 X 4 9 0
Browns Score Late, Clip Twins, 4-3
The Brooklyn Browns did just enough to sneak past the Cincinnati Twins, 4-3, at Brown Town. Brooklyn pitcher Matt Pontius, in particular, had a standout performance. Nate Yakovlev was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 14 of 17 save opportunities. Brooklyn is 43-41 and Cincinnati, with the loss, 32-53.

Had Edgar Delgado not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Delgado hit a 2-run single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Browns.

"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said Brooklyn skipper Jason Cormier. "I can't complain."
