Los Angeles pitcher Danny Serrano did his part in helping his team defeat the San Francisco Friars, 4-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. Serrano yielded 1 run over 5 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 6, and struck out 4. His record improves to 7-5. The second-place Stars improved to 48-37.

Lucas Pamatz had a big 2-run double for the Stars in the bottom of the third inning. With Los Angeles trailing 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a sinker from 26-year old left-handed pitcher Ricky Sauri and swatted a double to center. It was his 4th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Stars ahead, 2-1.

"Danny was bobbing and weaving the whole game," said Los Angeles manager Pat Kaers.
