The Baltimore Kings topped the Brooklyn Browns, 8-2, in Eastern Conference action at Brown Town. The game was highlighted by the performance of Baltimore designated hitter Da-xia Peng. Motoaki Tajiri, who is tied for 6th in the EC with a 2.82 ERA, was the winner. He's now 5-3. The loser was Cris Ramos. By defeating Brooklyn, the third-place Kings improved to 43-42.

The result might have been different, had it not been for two-time All-Star Tom Sarmiento. Sarmiento had a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Kings ahead, 5-2. For the game, Sarmiento had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"Getting the win feels nice," said Sarmiento. "More importantly, I had a good game."
