Baltimore Upended, 7-3, by Boston
|
The Boston Greens polished off the Baltimore Kings by the score of 7-3. The largest share of the credit belonged to catcher Ray Boos. Boos was 3 for 3 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Greens. Boston has won 3 straight, while Baltimore has lost 3 in a row.
With Boston leading 1-0 in the bottom of the first, Boos hit a run-scoring single off Baltimore hurler Motoaki Tajiri. It was the 83rd hit of the season for Boos and put his team ahead, 2-0.
Boos attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
