The Maine Lobster did just enough to sneak past the San Antonio Angels, 8-7, at Ballpark of Portland. Maine first baseman Marty Avalos, in particular, had a standout performance. Maine is now 42-43, while San Antonio is 28-58.

Maine got a knockout punch from Matthew Hinojosa. The pinch hitter hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"There's never a lack of effort in our clubhouse. We're willing to do the little things to get the win," Avalos told the Maine Citizen.
