Friars Earn 3-2 Win Against Lobster
Ballpark of Portland was the site of a tense game between the Maine Lobster and San Francisco Friars.

The San Francisco Friars faced a tough opponent in Maine pitcher Eikki Hostikka, but found a way to pull out the victory at Ballpark of Portland by a final score of 3-2 in 10 innings. Hostikka went 5 innings and allowed 2 runs. The win went to Salvatore Pino in relief, making him now 7-1. Armando Montoya took the loss for Maine.

San Francisco used the timely hitting of Noah Taylor to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Friars on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"This was one of those 'not to be denied' games," said San Francisco field general Erich Weatherholt.

San Francisco has run its win streak to 4 straight.
