Starting pitcher Yahya Kanoro gave the Portland Dragons a rock-solid effort. The San Francisco, California native helped his team defeat the Phoenix Thunderbirds, 2-0, at Portland Park. The win gives Portland a season record of 46-42.

Portland starter Yahya Kanoro was exceptional. The 6-foot-2 left-hander allowed no runs on 4 hits over 7.2 innings of work.

"I was just taking it batter by batter, just enjoying the moment," said Kanoro.
