The Havana Metropolitanos got a superb performance from pitcher Huggy Bruce, but the Vancouver Wolves still won the game, 4-3. Bruce threw 6.1 innings of 4-hit ball. Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Jose Zavala? The 31-year old shortstop Zavala stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 12th inning to put Vancouver up, 4-3. For the game, he was 2 for 6, including 1 double and 1 single.
