Arrows Over Athletics, 6-1
The Kansas City Athletics had to reckon with Seattle Arrows hurler Chua chay Niu. Niu, who is tied for 8th in the WC in strikeouts with 107, overwhelmed the opposition in the 6-1 Arrows triumph. Kansas City has now lost 5 in a row.

Manichiro Kawasaki had a big 3-run home run for the Arrows in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Seattle leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he sized up a cutter from 23-year old right-handed pitcher Jonathan Zelina and punished it. The result was his 17th home run of the season, which put the Arrows on top, 5-0.

"I liked his command," said Seattle manager Dr. Jay Siber. "Chua chay was throwing strikes."
