The Tucson Toros beat the Portland Dragons by a score of 7-2. Tucson second baseman Ralph Pond deserved the lion's share of the credit. Pond was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 2 times for the Toros. Today's win puts Tucson at 50-38, while Portland falls to 40-49.
