Tucson pitcher Vismay Falcon had a large part in his team subduing the Portland Dragons, 2-0. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the left-hander. Falcon, now 6-5, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 7, walking 1, and allowing no runs. With the win, the Toros have a record of 51-38.

The Toros got a big at-bat from first baseman Alderaan Pike. For the game, Pike was 1 for 1 with a double, 2 walks, and was hit by a pitch. In the top of the third, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 17th double of the season gave Tucson a 1-0 lead.

"Vismay looked like he had more finish on his ball," said Tucson manager Rick Barnes.
