San Francisco pitcher Ricky Sauri had a large part in his team beating the Tucson Toros, 5-2. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. In 6.2 innings, Sauri surrendered 1 hit, while striking out 6 and walking 7. He allowed 1 run. San Francisco's record now stands at 48-41, placing them first in the Western Conference Michael Fridy Division.

Bryce Gekas had a big 2-run home run for the Friars in the top of the second inning. It was his 2nd home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Friars ahead, 4-0.
